What are BCAAs? And what makes BCAAs at MKBM so special?

Your body uses proteins to, among other things, restore and rebuild muscles, after doing sports for example. The proteins are first converted into so-called amino acids. There are 20 amino acids in the human body, known as fundamental amino acids.

BCAAs are the three amino acids L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine. They belong to the group of 20 amino acids, to 9 “essential” amino acids. The body does not generate these 9 amino acids. This means that you have to get them through food and supplements.

BCAAs play an important role in the recovery and buildup of muscle. Because, whatever sport you practice, when you strain your muscles you always break down muscle cells. Your body uses amino acids for recovery. Optimizing the recovery process is the key to progression.

BCAAs are also often used as a supplement to support a diet, when your body does not get an abundance of all the required building blocks. In the process of fat burning, BCAAs also play an important role in the absorption of glucose from the blood, resulting in more efficient energy management.

BCAAs have the properties required to be quickly absorbed. That is why BCAAs are taken as a supplement before, during or immediately after training.

MKBM BCAA 4: 1: 1 represents the ratio to which the amino acids are present in this supplement. The 4 represents the amount of L-Leucine. Therefore it contains 4 times as much L-Isoleucine and L-Valine. The amino acid L-Leucine stimulates the muscle cells to convert more amino acids into muscle protein, which is ideal for the recovery process. This makes the MKBM BCAA supplement such a special product, that does exactly what it is meant to do.
